She stayed on the phone and let me cry properly
Dear Delyara, The one where your nose blocks and your words stop making sense and you can hear yourself sounding younger than you want to sound because whatever the day touched in you was not as grown and composed as you usually present to the world. She stayed. She didn’t rush me. She didn’t brighten the mood too early. She didn’t start solving it because she was uncomfortable with sadness. That mattered more than any advice could have. Because what I needed most was not perspective. It was somewhere for the feeling to land without being corrected immediately.
