The WeightPast Wounds
Some current feelings still belong partly to older rooms
Dear Delyara, That’s what makes them so hard to regulate. The present happens. And then something older enters before I can stop it. A little silence becomes larger. A small confusion turns sharper. A tone lands where another tone once hurt me. And suddenly I’m not only in today anymore. I’m in the overlap. That overlap is exhausting because it makes proportion difficult. I know when I’m feeling more than the moment itself deserves. Knowing that doesn’t always reduce the feeling. Old rooms still echo through new ones. That’s true in me.
