The StruggleAnxiety
Some days I feel absent from my own life
Dear Delyara, I still do the day. That’s the difficult part. I go to work, answer questions, pack lunches, cook dinner, message people back, get things done. From the outside, there may be very little to alarm anyone. But inside, I can feel this distance. Not from reality. From myself. Like I’m participating through a thin layer of glass. I hate that feeling because it makes me doubt what is wrong. If I’m functioning, am I allowed to say I’m not okay? If nothing has collapsed, am I still allowed to say I feel too far away from my own days? The answer should be yes. It still doesn’t feel simple.
