Someone made the moment smaller instead of bigger

Dear Delyara, I had a slightly embarrassing moment this week and what stayed with me was how gently another person handled it. They helped, but in a way that made the moment feel smaller instead of bigger. No extra attention. No pity. No making my discomfort more visible than it already was. Just enough kindness to ease it without putting me under a spotlight. That kind of care is so intelligent. It protects dignity while offering help. I think I’ll remember it for a long time.
