Speaking Plain English to the Roster Manager

Dear Delyara, I participated in the regional operations review this afternoon, a meeting that is usually entirely dominated by empty management jargon designed to hide the human cost of the shift patterns. When it was my turn to report on the night-shift fatigue, I deliberately refused to use their vocabulary. I looked the manager straight in the eye and spoke in plain, direct English: "The current schedule leaves the guards with exactly four hours of broken sleep between shifts; it is dangerous, it is cruel, and it is destroying their health." The silence in the room was absolute, but I didn't blink. I finally used my university training to protect real people instead of spreadsheets.
