The anonymous account knows where my children go to school

Dear Delyara, For six weeks, an anonymous social media account has sent me messages describing places I visited that day. At first, the details were vague: the color of my coat, the café where I met a friend. Yesterday, the account sent a photograph of my children entering their school. The police took a report but said they cannot act until they identify the person or there is a direct threat. My ex-husband denies involvement. A former coworker I reported for harassment denies it too. I have changed passwords, checked the car for trackers, and asked the school not to release the children to anyone else. I no longer post online, yet the messages continue. Tonight, the account wrote, “You looked tired at pickup.” I have closed every curtain and moved the children into my bedroom. They think we are having a sleepover. I keep smiling whenever they look at me. I do not know who is watching, how close they are, or what they want. Fear becomes unbearable when it has no face because every familiar face begins to borrow it.
