Small JoysQuiet Moments
The bath stayed hot and nobody knocked once
Dear Delyara, That should be a very normal sentence. In my current life, it felt almost miraculous. No one calling through the door. No child needing a towel. No husband asking a practical question he could probably answer himself. No phone ringing from downstairs. No interruption disguised as urgency. Just hot water and enough uninterrupted minutes for my body to stop feeling like public property. I got out feeling more human than I had when I got in. That’s as close to a luxury as I need some weeks.
