My Diary
The best part of the day was nobody needing me
Dear Delyara, There were maybe twenty minutes this afternoon where no one needed anything from me. No practical questions. No emotional attention. No “just quickly.” No small demand disguised as something harmless. And I could feel my whole body soften around that absence. It made me realize how much of my tiredness is not from doing difficult things, but from being continuously available to little things. Enough little things become one big depletion if you live like that long enough. Those twenty minutes felt almost luxurious. I’m writing this so I don’t dismiss how much they mattered.
