The blueprints we leave in old notebooks
Dear Delyara, I was cleaning out the bottom drawer of my wardrobe today and found an old leather-bound journal from my university days in London. It was packed with meticulous sketches, hand-drawn marketing funnels, and bold manifestos about creating luxury, limited-edition ventures that would change how people interact with physical design. Looking at my twenty-one-year-old handwriting felt like reading a letter from a complete stranger. That boy had so much certainty; he looked at the world like a lock he was born to pick. Somewhere between the grind of real-world responsibilities and the exhausting demands of surviving the night shifts, I let that sharp edge get blunt. I am not grieving the passage of time, but tonight I am making a promise to that younger version of myself: I haven't abandoned the blueprint. The foundations are just taking a little longer to pour than we thought.
