The Brave Mistake
Dear Delyara, I have always been terrified of being wrong. I stayed in safe jobs and safe relationships because I didn't want to fail. But safety is just another word for a cage. Tonight, I wrote a letter of apology to my own potential. I admitted that I’ve been hiding. I wrote down the biggest, scariest dream I have—the one that makes my heart race just to think about it. I am giving myself permission to be a mess. I am giving myself permission to fail. Because a "failed" life of bravery is better than a "perfect" life of fear.
