The Buzz of the Fluorescent Tube
Dear Delyara, It is 1:40 AM, and the overhead fluorescent light tube in this guard hut has developed a high-pitched, erratic buzz that is driving me completely out of my mind. It flickers just enough to make the text on my laptop screen dance every few seconds. I’m trying to draft a clean system architecture document for our platform's backend database, but the constant, mechanical hum makes it impossible to settle into a rhythm. Out here, you quickly realize how much your environment impacts your internal clarity. Everything in this yard is built to be cheap, functional, and disposable, completely opposite to the museum-quality presentation I spend my days researching. I pulled my hood up over my ears to muffle the sound and forced my fingers back onto the keyboard, determined to out-focus the noise.
