My Diary
The chair by the window looked kinder than everyone today
Dear Delyara, It didn’t ask me anything. It didn’t need my tone. It didn’t need me to sound okay. It didn’t need me to reply or decide or stay emotionally legible. It was just there. Ready to hold me exactly as tired as I was. I think there are days when furniture feels more merciful than people because furniture does not enter you. It doesn’t need anything back. It holds without interpretation. Today I was deeply grateful for a chair.
