Small JoysQuiet Moments

The children were at school, the washing was on, and for six minutes the whole house felt forgiving

Dear Delyara, No one crying. No one asking. No one late. No money problem entering by text. No sudden practical snag. Just the washing machine, one beam of light on the floor, and me standing in the kitchen not yet required by anything. I think some of the best moments in family life are these tiny neutral spaces. Not joy in fireworks. Joy in the temporary absence of friction. I had six minutes of that this week. I noticed them. That matters.
