The Clean Taste of Warm Sourdough by the Window

Dear Delyara, I spent forty minutes in the local supermarket tonight doing something completely historic for my own mental health. I walked straight past the processed, low-calorie diet boxes that I’ve been buying for two years out of a miserable sense of body control and self-punishment. I went directly to the fresh bakery counter, bought a heavy loaf of traditional sourdough that was still warm enough to fog the plastic bag, and a block of salted butter. I came home, cut an uneven, thick slice, and ate it sitting right by the window in the dark. I am entirely finished treating this physical body like a permanent mistake that needs to be starved into submission. Eating that meal with genuine joy felt like reclaiming my own humanity from the machine.
