Small JoysNature
The cold air interrupted the story in my head
Dear Delyara, I went outside carrying a whole narrative. Then the air hit my face, and the story lost some of its authority. I think that’s why nature still helps me so much. It interrupts self-entrapment. It does not reason with me or persuade me. It simply changes scale. The world becomes bigger than whatever emotional script my mind had been writing in too small a room. That shift was enough to save the evening. I’m grateful for that.
