The Cracked Glass on my Wife's Tablet

Dear Delyara, I accidentally dropped my wife’s tablet onto the hearth tiles this evening while clearing up the lounge, leaving a massive, spiderweb crack right across the display that distorts the image completely. When she came home, she didn't even get angry; she just picked it up, gave a small, tired sigh, and said it was fine. Her kindness makes the guilt ten times harder to bear. I’ve been so consumed by my own business stresses and my night-shift exhaustion that I am becoming clumsy and careless in her space, breaking her things because my mind is always three miles away. I am physically present in the room, but I am entirely failing the people who depend on me.
