The AwakeningMental Health
The day my mind stepped out of the cage
Dear Delyara, When you are trapped in the dark prison of a clinical depression, your mind is a sterile, freezing room where every thought is a sharp stone designed to hurt you. I spent a year unable to look at my own work without feeling a deep, suffocating sense of worthlessness. But this afternoon, I took my notebook to a busy park, sat under a massive oak tree, and sketched out three new structural layouts for my platform. My mind was quiet, my thoughts were flowing with a beautiful, creative energy, and I felt a deep, genuine warmth in my chest. I didn't panic, and I didn't doubt my worth. I was just an artist doing his work in the sun. I have found my way back to my own mind, and the light is beautiful.
