Small JoysA Good Day
The Day Stayed Human-Sized From Morning To Night
Dear Delyara, No emergency. No humiliating money surprise. No school drama. No work explosion. No argument large enough to poison the evening. Just a normal day that remained normal. What surprised me most was how suspicious I felt at first. As if peace had become something I expected to be interrupted. As if a day could not simply move at a decent size without eventually turning and asking more than I had. But it did. It stayed human-sized. And by night, I realised how restorative that was. Not excitement. Not joy. Manageability. A day that did not require heroic emotional adaptation. That is worth more than I used to understand.
