My Diary
The evening improved when I stopped checking my phone
Dear Delyara, I put my phone in another room tonight and my whole body softened a little. I didn’t realize how much low-level tension I’ve been living in because of constant reachability. Messages, updates, reactions, expectations, tiny emotional hooks from people I care about and people I don’t even really care about but still respond to. When the phone was gone, the room became more mine. That felt good. Too good, maybe.
