The First Deep Breath
Dear Delyara, For three years, I felt like I was breathing through a straw. Every day was a struggle to just exist. But this morning, I woke up and the weight on my chest was... gone. I went to the window, opened it, and took a breath that went all the way to my toes. I am writing this to tell you: It gets better. You won't feel like this forever. The color comes back to the world eventually. I’m leaving this letter here as proof. I survived the dark, and so will you.
