The Mid-Life Fog

Dear Delyara, At 50, a 'Storm' of invisibility hit me. I felt like the world had stopped looking at me. In the 'Grind' of my daily life, I was just a service provider for everyone else. I felt like a shadow walking through my own life. I had to go back to the 'Crossroads' of my youth and remember who I was before I was a mother or a wife. I started painting again. I started traveling alone. My Victoria was the day I realized that being 'invisible' to the world gave me the freedom to be whoever I wanted to be. I don't need the world’s eyes to feel seen. The victory is my own self-respect.
