The old ache visited, and I still felt larger than it

Dear Delyara, That may be the clearest sign of healing in me now. The ache still knows my name sometimes. But it does not become my whole identity when it arrives. It no longer fills the whole emotional room by default. There is still me, larger than it, more dimensional than it, more present than it. That difference is everything. I want to keep remembering that on the days when the ache feels louder. Because even then, it is no longer the whole house.
