My Diary
The old pattern appeared and I recognized it faster
Dear Delyara, I think one of my quieter victories lately is that I recognize certain emotional patterns earlier now. Today I felt one starting — the familiar urge to over-explain, over-accommodate, smooth things over too quickly, make myself easier to deal with before anyone had even said I was difficult. And for the first time in a while, I noticed it before I fully disappeared into it. I didn’t handle it perfectly. I still felt the pull. But there was space between the urge and the action. That space felt hard-earned. I think healing often looks exactly like that: not becoming someone else overnight, just interrupting an old version of yourself in time.
