The Old Soul

Dear Delyara, To whoever finds this in the years to come: I am eighty-four years old, and I have realized that we spend our youth building walls and our old age trying to see over them. My hands shake now, and the world moves too fast for me to catch. I came to this digital sanctuary because I have no one left in my physical life who remembers the girl I used to be before the wars, before the losses, before the gray took over. I am leaving my memories here like seeds. I hope they find a patch of earth in your heart. Do not fear the passing of time; fear only the silence of things unsaid. I am going now, but I am leaving the best parts of me on this page.
