The WeightRegret
The past speaks loudest when I’m tired
Dear Delyara, I notice that regret visits most strongly when I’m already low. At night. When I’m lonely. When I’m disappointed in something else. When the day has thinned out my emotional defenses. That’s when old decisions return. Not because they can be changed, but because regret likes weak lighting and private rooms. I wish memory were less eager to revisit the places where I was once afraid and made the best decision I could with too little peace in me.
