Small JoysQuiet Moments
The rain started while I was under the duvet and I didn’t have to go anywhere
Dear Delyara, That felt almost luxurious. No school run. No work shift. No appointment. No one waiting for me downstairs. Just rain against the window and the profound comfort of not being required to turn it into a scheduling problem. I stayed there listening for a few extra minutes and felt something in me soften that had been tight all week. It was such a simple moment. Warm bed, grey light, no immediate demand. Still, it gave me more peace than many bigger things do. I’m trying to respect those little moments more. They are not decorative. They are restorative.
