The School Gates
Dear Delyara, I watched my youngest walk into school today. She didn't even look back. For twenty years, my entire identity was "Mother." Now, the house is silent. I feel like a book that has reached the final chapter, but I’m not ready for the story to end. I am sitting in the car, crying, and trying to figure out who I am when nobody needs me to fix their lunch.
