Dear Delyara, There’s something about being under running water that makes me feel briefly unreachable in the best way. No performance. No eye contact. No expressions to manage. No small replies. No need to look okay. Just warmth and sound and a temporary pause from being socially legible. I think I stayed in there longer than I needed to because it was the only place all day where I felt fully out of reach. That makes me sad when I write it. It also feels true.
