The Smell of Fresh Bread

Dear Delyara, I walked past the bakery on the corner this morning. The scent of warm flour and yeast hit me like a physical wave, and for a second, I was seven years old again, standing in my grandmother's kitchen. It’s amazing how a smell can bypass your brain and go straight to your heart. I bought a loaf, still warm enough to fog up the paper bag, and ate a piece right there on the sidewalk. I think we spend too much time chasing big goals and not enough time appreciating the way a warm crust feels in your hand.
