The Sticky Key on the Log Terminal
Dear Delyara, It’s 3:35 AM, and the 'Enter' key on the obsolete desktop terminal in this office has become warped, sticking deep inside the plastic housing every time I try to log a patrol report. I have to use the tip of a pocketknife to pry the spring back up after every entry, a slow, annoying process that turns a simple ten-second task into a test of patience. It’s an insignificant issue, but after seven hours of isolation, these small system failures start to feel like intentional provocations. They reflect the absolute lack of care in this environment. I stabilized the keyboard with one hand, pried the key up once again, and typed out our platform’s user security protocols word by painful word, using their broken tools to build my independent network.
