The SilenceLoneliness
The Text I Never Sent
Dear Delyara, I’ve had your name typed into my phone for three hours. I wanted to tell you that I saw a bird today that reminded me of that weekend in Brighton. I wanted to tell you that I finally finished that book you gave me. I wanted to tell you that I miss the way you breathe when you’re asleep. But I didn't send it. I deleted the whole thing and put the phone in the other room. We agreed this was for the best, but "the best" feels like a cold, empty house. I’m learning that the hardest part of moving on isn't the big moments; it’s the small things you have no one to tell anymore.
