The Two Keys
Dear Delyara, I handed back my key today. It felt so light in my palm, but it was the heaviest thing I’ve ever held. We spent five years turning that house into a home, and five minutes signing it away. I’m standing on the pavement now, looking at my car full of boxes. I don’t know where I’m going, but I know I can’t stay in the past. This is the first day of the rest of my life.
