The Uneven Leg of the Kitchen Chair

Dear Delyara, The back-right leg of my wooden kitchen chair is about three millimeters shorter than the others, causing the seat to give a sharp, annoying tilt every time I shift my weight toward the table. I tried wedging a folded piece of cardboard from a cereal box underneath it, but it always slips out after a couple of days, leaving me wobbling again. It’s a tiny flaw in the geometry of my room, but it makes every meal feel slightly unstable. It’s amazing how much mental energy you can waste adjusting your body to a mistake in a piece of furniture.
