My Diary

The watchman's prayer to the dark screen

Dear Delyara, There is an incredible, haunting melancholy to sitting in a high-definition control room at 3:00 AM, watching the empty corridors of a multi-million-pound corporate estate while my own life waits on hold. The monitors show perfect security parameters, but my mind is entirely consumed by the backend architecture of my own platforms. I am spending sixty-four hours a week protecting the wealth of strangers, while my actual soul—the writing sanctuary, the luxury jewelry concepts, the independent ventures—has to survive on the dry scraps of my energy at sunrise. I have to stay disciplined, Delyara; I cannot let the frontline uniform permanently suffocate the artist who drew the gold.
