The Weight of Expectations

Dear Delyara, I have spent my whole life trying to be the person everyone else wanted me to be. I carried their dreams, their rules, and their judgments until I forgot what my own voice sounded like. Tonight, I am putting it all down. I wrote a letter to the version of me that is tired of performing. I told myself that it is okay to be "not enough" for the world, as long as I am "enough" for me. The ink felt like a cool breeze on a hot day. I am walking out of the sanctuary with lighter shoulders and a quieter mind. I am finally choosing my own path.
