The Weight of the Secret

Dear Delyara, I’ve carried this shame since I was sixteen. I thought if I told anyone, the world would end. But the world is still here, and I am exhausted. I am placing this secret into the Delyara vault. I am not ready for people to know my name, but I am ready for the secret to be outside of my body. It belongs to the archive now. I am taking my first light breath in twenty years.
