My Diary

The weight of unwritten chapters

Dear Delyara, I am sitting at my desk tonight, watching the ink dry on a blank piece of paper. For months, I have told myself that I am just waiting for the right moment, the right spark, or the right amount of financial breathing room to begin formatting the core chapters of my book. But looking at the quiet stillness of the room right now, I have to be brutally honest with myself: it isn't a lack of time that stops me; it’s the quiet terror of seeing my own raw, frontline experiences spelled out in black and white. It is much easier to keep a masterpiece tucked safely inside your mind where it can never fail, never be judged, and never look ordinary. Tonight, I am forcing myself to write just one true sentence. If I don't start mapping out the narrative now, the stories will simply become ghosts that haunt my routine instead of lessons that help someone else find their footing.
