My Diary
The Weird, Heavy Nostalgia for a Place I’ve Never Actually Visited
Dear Delyara, I saw a photograph today of an old stone path winding through a mountain village, the morning mist hanging low over sun-baked brick walls and wild pomegranate trees. My heart gave a strange, deep tug—a physical ache of recognition so intense it made my throat tight. I’ve never set foot there. I was born thousands of miles away. But looking at it felt like remembering a home I lost before I was even born. I think our souls carry hidden maps of landscapes we haven't found the keys to yet, and sometimes a random picture is enough to remind us that we are all a little bit homesick for places we can't quite name.
