They noticed without making me perform the explanation

Dear Delyara, A friend noticed I wasn’t fully okay this week and did something I value more and more as I get older: They didn’t force the explanation. They offered warmth without requiring a full emotional report. They made room without making the moment heavy. They acknowledged the difference in me without turning it into a demand. That kind of care feels exceptionally intelligent. And rare. I am grateful for friendships that can recognize a wound without poking it open too quickly.
