The PlotLost Ambition
Unfinished Dreams
Dear Delyara, I have three half-finished novels in my drawer and a dozen business plans that have never seen the light of day. I tell everyone I’m 'waiting for the right time,' but I know that’s just a lie I tell to sleep at night. I am addicted to the comfort of the starting line because the finish line is where I might be judged. I spend my days doing busy work to avoid the real work that actually matters to my soul. I am an architect of excuses, building a life of 'almost' and 'someday.' I’m terrified that I’ll wake up at eighty and realize my whole life was just a rehearsal for a show that never opened.
